A Zombie Me

Since stinging, monstrous, varmints bite,
pulse perished that fateful night.
From a zombie, be a zombie me.
Screaming, scurrying, my family flee.

Zombie be, a zombie me.
Fetid flesh. Re-animated life.
Putrescent, pungent smells are rife.
From a zombie me, my family flee.

Zombie be, a zombie me.
Walking, whining, rotten meat
hurriedly hunting brains to eat.
From a zombie me, my family flee.

Zombie be, a zombie me.
Partially paralysed dusty sinews.
Cracking, crunching, noisy chews.
From a zombie me, my family flee.

Zombie be, a zombie me.
Torn, tattered dirty clothes.
Huge holes, revealing toes.
From a zombie me, my family flee.

Zombie be, a zombie me.
Nosey neighbours, trembling fear.
Friends and family ever so near.
From a zombie me, my family flee.

Zombie be, a zombie me.
Screaming siblings, final night.
Painful, piercing fateful bite.
From a zombie me, my family tree.
